Cooking Time

10 min

Ingredients

  • 500g green beans
  • 1 cup Mr Chen’s panko crumbs
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 50g butter
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • sesame seeds, garnish

Method

1
Bring a pot of water to boil, add salt, green beans and let it boil for about 4 min. Once beans are cooked, drain it and put it in ice cold water.
2
Edamame (if frozen, cook it according to the instructions) in this case, a bamboo steaming basket was used. Steam over boiling water, this can be done while boiling green beans. Steam for 2-3 min until defrosted. Place it in ice cold water to cool down.
3
In a pan melt butter and oil, throw in panko crumbs and cook until golden brown. Add green beans and toss through.
4
Mix edamame with sesame oil and garnish with toasted sesame seeds. Serve alongside your favourite dumplings - we suggest Prawn Hargow!
